FLFL 2007 is complete! - Thursday, December 27, 2007
Congrats to Bill's Bombs for winning the FLFL Super Bowl as they defeated #1 seed Ballhawks 96 to 79! The winner of the third place game was Resto's Repercussions as they took down Adam's A-Holes 76 to 70 in a very close game... Congrats to Carnage Inc for winning the Best of the Rest Tourney! Carnage had a great final week as they racked up 119 points to defeat the Evil Robots. The Birdmen won the BOTR third place game 93-79 over Well Hung Jury... And Congrats to the New Roundy's Saints who battled various injuries this season to string together two solid final weeks to win the Toilet Bowl 119-67 over the Dawg Pound... It was an exciting season as we witnessed a series of firsts: the first trading of draft slots (Saints traded his 4-slot to the Repercussions for his 7-slot), the first time the #1 pick was traded away during the season (Birdmen traded Tomlinson to the Repercussions), the first time a team has racked up 500 Fantasy Power Points (Ballhawks; although keep in mind that the scoring was up this season with the rule changes), the first time the Saints did not make the FLFL Super Bowl Playoffs since rejoining the league (they made it in 2004, 2005, and 2006), and the first blockbuster trade in a few years (Birdmen/Repercussions, not to mention the Birdmen/Bombs trade was pretty exciting too). Any other firsts you can think of??? Below are the final winnings. I'll pay those of you I see, and if I don't see you we'll square up next season! Have a great off-season!

Week 1 of Playoffs complete! - Tuesday, December 18, 2007
It was a low scoring week in the first week of playoffs as no team managed to top 100 points, but there were definitely some close and exciting matchups... In week 1 of the Fantasy Super Bowl Playoffs, both division winners managed to squeek out wins. The Ballhawks, who only managed 1 TD, somehow had the high score of the week and beat the AHoles as some of Adam's guys just didn't show up. The Bombs also squeeked by his opponent with an average week, as the Repercussions fell just short after Monday Night Football. It will be a battle royale of division champs in Week 16... The A-Holes will face the Repercussions for 3rd place... In the Best of the Rest tourney, there were two exciting matchups as the Robots squeeked by the Birdmen 80 to 77, and Carnage Inc squeeked by Well Hung Jury 80 - 72. The Robots will square off against Carnage to crown the BOTR champ, and it'll be a battle of the frat bros in the BOTR 3rd place game... In the Toilet Bowl, the New Roundy's Saints got off to a good start over the Dawg Pound by taking a 94-80 lead into the final week... Click here for the updated playoff brackets... This week's FITA award goes to Well Hung Jury who had his first-picked WR Steve Smith on the bench instead of a couple of guys who combined for 2 points. If Smith is in their lineup, the Jury wins!
Below are this week's matchups. Good luck next week!
Fantasy Super Bowl
Ballhawks 99 - AHoles 84
Bombs 98 - Repercussions 89

End of Regular Season! - Tuesday, December 11, 2007
It was an exciting end to the regular season as the Ballhawks captured the #1 seed by defeating division rival Repercussions 144 to 137 in a high scoring affair and surging past the Bombs who had a horrible end to the regular season. The Bombs were taken down by division rival Evil Robots 117 to 62, but still won the NFLC, and the Robots captured the #1 seed in the Best of the Rest Tourney. The Bombs will host the Repercussions who captured the Wildcard #1... In other news, the A-Holes had a huge week to end the regular season and hold onto the Wildcard #2. The A-Holes seem to be peaking at the right time and will square off against the Ballhawks in round 1 of the Fantasy Super Bowl Playoffs... Well Hung Jury and Carnage Inc both lost tough games in Week 14, and will square off in round 1 of the BOTR Tourney. The Robots will host the Birdmen, who got the #4 seed in the BOTR and stayed out of the Toilet Bowl despite a great effort in Week 14 by the New Roundy's Saints. The Saints will host the Dawg Pound in the Toilet Bowl... Remember that all teams will have a game in both Weeks 15 and 16, so be sure to set your lineups! Click here for the playoff brackets... The final FITA award for the regular season goes to the Repercussions who got 2nd high score and lost by 7 points, and who got only 3 yards out of red-hot Adrian Peterson.
Below are this week's matchups. Be sure to check the standings page. Good luck next week!
Ballhawks 144 - Repercussions 137
AHoles 126 - Jury 116
Robots 117 - Bombs 62
Saints 108 - Birdmen 74
DawgPound 103 - Carnage 94

Week 13 Complete! - Tuesday, December 4, 2007
Carnage Inc dominated in Week 13 to pretty much secure a spot in the Best of the Rest Tourney and stay out of the Toilet Bowl. Barring a miracle, Carnage's big week almost ensures a Toilet Bowl matchup between the Saints and Dawg Pound. Carnage was led by Peyton Manning this week and his 288 yards and 4 TDs. The Bombs got 2nd high score this week to guarantee an NFLC division crown and extend his overall lead to 6 Fantasy Power Points. The Ballhawks got 3rd high score to extend their AFLC lead over the Repercussions to 13 Power Points. The Ballhawks and Repercussions face eachother this final week which will determine the AFLC winner and possibly determine the #1 seed heading into the playoffs. The Bombs control their own destiny and with a big week 14 they will secure the #1 seed; but with a bad or even an average week, the #1 seed should go to the winner of the Ballhawks/Repercussions game... The final Wildcard is still up for grabs with the A-Holes only sitting 22 Power Points above the Robots. With a big week and an A-Holes loss, the Robots could sneak into the Fantasy Super Bowl playoffs! The Jury, Birdmen, and Carnage all seem to be a lock for the Best of the Rest Tourney, unless the Saints have HUGE week 14... Remember that our new Week 14 format is 1 vs 2 in each division (Ballhawks vs Repercussions, Bombs vs Robots), 3 vs 3 (A-Holes vs Jury), and 4 vs 5 in each division (Carnage vs Dawg Pound, Birdmen vs Saints)... This week's FITA award goes to the Robots who got 5th high score and whose 2 starting RBs (and first 2 picks in the draft) finally returned from injury but were sitting on the Robots' bench; both of whom would have carried the Bots to a victory over the Ballhawks and alot closer to a Wildcard spot.
Below are this week's matchups. Be sure to check the standings page. Good luck next week!
Carnage 142 - DawgPound 78
Bombs 107 - Birdmen 85
Ballhawks 103 - Robots 96
Repercussions 102 - AHoles 75
Saints 78 - Jury 72

Week 12 Complete! - Tuesday, November 27, 2007
Well Hung Jury continued their push for a Wild Card as they racked up 132 points led by Frank Gore's 214 yards, 11 catches, and 2 TDs. The Jury is now only 42 Fantasy Power Points away from a Wild Card. The Bombs also had a nice Week 12 by getting 2nd high score and taking down the Robots to surge into first place overall and pretty much lock up the NFLC crown. The AFLC is a different story as the Repercussions defeated the Ballhawks and surged to within 11 Power Points of the AFLC lead. The A-Holes also had a big win by defeating Carnage in a close matchup to extend their lead for the 2nd Wild Card... In other news, the Saints ended a 6 game losing streak to defeat the Dawg Pound and inch closer to a spot in the Best of the Rest Tourney... This Week's FITA award goes to the Birdmen for getting 4th high score but losing to the Jury.
Below are this week's matchups. Be sure to check the standings page. Good luck next week!
Jury 132 - Birdmen 107
Bombs 115 - Robots 87
Repercussions 112 - Ballhawks 99
AHoles 107 - Carnage 103
Saints 95 - DawgPound 88

Week 11 Complete! - Tuesday, November 20, 2007
It was a week of fantasy studs in Week 11 as Randy Moss carried Resto's Repercussions into high score with his 10 catches, 128 yards, and 4 TDs. The Repercussions inched closer to the Ballhawks who also had a big game by defeating division rival Adam's A-Holes in a close matchup that came down to Monday Night Football. The Bombs also had a big game from Terrell Owens (8 catches, 173 yards, 4 TDs) to extend their stranglehold on the NFLC to 60+ Fantasy Power Points. The Robots got 373 yards and 5 TDs out of Brady to surge to within 10 Power Points of the coveted Wildcard #2 spot... In other news, Well Hung Jury got back on track this week by scoring over 100 points and vaulting into 3rd place in the NFLC... It's interesting how the schedule worked out for the upcoming week as there are some critical matchups that will definitely have a huge impact on the standings. The 1st and 2nd place teams in each division play eachother (Bombs VS Robots, Ballhawks VS Repercussions), the 3rd and 4th place teams play eachother (Jury VS Birdmen, A-Holes VS Carnage), and the 5th place teams play eachother (Dawg Pound VS Saints)... This week's FITA award goes to Adam's A-Holes for getting 4th high score but losing to the Ballhawks.
Below are this week's matchups. Be sure to check the standings page. Good luck next week!
Repercussions 152 - DawgPound 73
Bombs 131 - Saints 98
Ballhawks 124 - AHoles 114
Robots 114 - Birdmen 78
Jury 105 - Carnage 50

Week 10 Complete! - Tuesday, November 13, 2007
Terrell Owens took some time off partying with Steve Nash, Matt Leinart, and Shawn Marion to lead Bill's Bombs to high score in Week 10 by racking up 6 catches, 125 yards and 2 TDs and leading the Bombs to a big victory over the all-star cast of Resto's Repercussions. The Bombs extended their NFLC lead as they are now up by 51.5 Power Points over the Evil Robots. The Ballhawks also had a nice Week 10 by getting 2nd high score en route to a W over Carnage Inc and extending their lead over the Repercussions to 41 Power Points. Both divisions are still up for grabs though as there are still 4 long weeks left. In addition, the new Week 14 format will give the then 2nd place team in each division an extra crack at catching the division leader... Also in Week 10, the Birdmen picked up a big win over the New Roundy's Saints to stay in the NFLC hunt, and the Robots took down Well Hung Jury to stay within striking distance of the Bombs... The A-Holes were blessed by the Fantasy Gods this week as they got 2nd low score but managed to defeat the Dawg Pound... This week's FITA award goes to Carnage Inc for getting 3rd high score but losing to the Ballhawks.
Below are this week's matchups. Be sure to check the standings page. Good luck next week!
Bombs 123 - Repercussions 93
Ballhawks 116 - Carnage 105
Birdmen 93 - Saints 77

Week 9 Complete! - Tuesday, November 6, 2007
It was a high scoring week in Week 9 as three teams racked up at least 43 Fantasy Power Points. The Ballhawks led the way with 164 points (53 Fantasy Power Points) to break the all time record for points scored in a week. And believe it or not, I had my 3 highest scorers on the bench! However, this week's MVP goes to Adrian Peterson of the Vikings not of the Bears of Resto's Repercussions. He accumulated 296 rushing yards - an NFL record for a single game - and 19 receiving yards and 3 TDs en route to 50 game points! He is definitely deserving of the MVP this week, even though the Repercussions didn't get high score. The Repercussions did manage to get 2nd high score though by scoring 134. The Bombs also had a nice week by amassing 133 points. The A-Holes also picked up a W by defeating the Birdmen in a somewhat close matchup 109-96, and Birdman didn't even have a defense in his lineup! This week's closest game was the Evil Robots versus the Saints, with the Robots coming out on top 63-58. That is definitely a sign that the Fantasy Gods are on your side when you only score 63 points but pick up a win... Only 5 weeks left in the regular season! There are some exciting matchups coming up that will have an impact on the division winners; the Bombs facing the Repercussions and Robots, and the Ballhawks/Repercussions/A-Holes all facing eachother. Everyone still has a shot though, just get hot at the right time (NOW)! This week's FITA award goes to the Dawg Pound for getting 4th high score but losing with 110 points.
Below are this week's matchups. Be sure to check the standings page. Good luck next week!
Ballhawks 164 - DawgPound 110
Repercussions 134 - Carnage 87
Bombs 133 - Jury 97

Robots 63 - Saints 58

Week 8 Complete! - Tuesday, October 30, 2007
The Evil Robots had their first high score of the season, and their 2nd big game in 3 weeks led by Tom Brady and his 40+ points. Brady currently has 30 TDs on the season and is on pace for 60, yes 60, TDs on the season which would shatter Manning's record. The Robots closed the gap on the Bombs for the NFLC race which is still up for grabs. Carnage Inc also had their best game of the season to defeat division rival Adam's A-Holes and jump out of the "Bottom 2" (Toilet Bowl status)... The Ballhawks had 3rd high score to take down the injury-depleted Saints and surge back into first place overall. Currently only 18 Fantasy Power Points separate the top 3 teams in the AFLC (and the top 4 teams overall)... In other news, the Bombs defeated division rival Birdmen to hold onto the NFLC lead, and the Jury had a solid week to cool down the red-hot Repercussions... It was an interesting week as the top 5 scoring teams all won their games. First time that's happened this season... This week's FITA award goes to... NOBODY! I couldn't find any reason that anybody was deserving of this week's FITA award. If you think you have a reason for getting the FITA award, please let me know! The top 5 teams all won their games, nobody really had too much production sitting on their bench, etc. etc. Hey, I figure why not make history and give the FITA award to nobody this week. "Remember that one week back in 2007 when nobody won the FITA award?!?"
Below are this week's matchups. Be sure to check the standings page. Good luck next week!
Robots 112 - DawgPound 83
Carnage 109 - AHoles 80
Ballhawks 105 - Saints 45
Bombs 104 - Birdmen 79
Jury 95 - Repercussions 67

Week 7 Complete! - Tuesday, October 23, 2007
Adam's A-Holes had their 3rd high score in the last 5 weeks to defeat division rival Resto's Repercussions in a close matchup 113 to 106. The W surged the A-Holes into 2nd place overall and only 10 Fantasy Power Points behind division leader Resto. The Birdmen had their 2nd nice week in a row by getting 2nd high score and closing the gap in the NFLC race. As it currently stands, the AFLC has the 3 best teams according to Fantasy Power Points (Repercussions, A-Holes, Ballhawks) and the 2 worst teams (Dawg Pound & Carnage Inc) and the NFLC has the 4th through 8th best teams. We are officially halfway through the regular season, lots of time to make your move!! In other news, the Dawg Pound finally ended their losing streak by racking up 105 points and defeating Well Hung Jury by 31 points. This was the only "blowout" of the week; the other 4 games were decided by an average of 8 points! The Bombs won a squeaker over the Robots 94 to 88, and Carnage Inc had some help from the Fantasy Gods by getting 3rd lowest score but defeating the slumping Saints... This week's FITA award goes to Resto for getting 3rd high score but losing to the A-Holes... By the way, the picture you see here is Roddy White, the A-Holes MVP of the week (8 catches, 100+ yards, and a TD). Who the F is Roddy White???
Below are this week's matchups. Be sure to check the standings page. Good luck next week!
AHoles 113 - Repercussions 106
Birdmen 109 - Ballhawks 98
DawgPound 105 - Jury 74

Carnage 84 - Saints 74

Week 6 Complete! - Tuesday, October 16, 2007
Restos Repercussions had their 4th huge game in a row to surge into first place overall. Dedo defeated division rival Ballhawks in a high scoring affair 127 to 119 led by LaDanian Tomlinson's 214 yards and 4 TDs. It's already looking like Dedo got the better end of the trade with Birdman as LT is looking more and more like the LT of old. Good thing Dedo had Adrian Peterson on his bench this week as he would have racked up another 230+ yards and 3 TDs and surged even further ahead of the pack. Dedo is definitely looking like the team to beat now... The Evil Robots also had a nice week by racking up 124 points en route to 2nd high score and a victory over Carnage Inc. Also, the Jury pounded the Saints by 61 points as Roy is battling a boatload of injuries... In other news, the A-Holes had an exciting come from behind victory on Monday Night Football to defeat Bill's Bombs by one point 92-91! What an exciting way to win... Also, the Birdmen defeated the Dawg Pound in a close matchup to end a 3 game losing streak... This week's FITA award goes to yours truly again as the Ballhawks got 3rd high score but lost. That makes 3 weeks out of 6 that I've had 2nd or 3rd high score but lost. Gosh darn ya fantasy schedule!
Below are this week's matchups. Be sure to check the standings page. Good luck next week!
Repercussions 127 - Ballhawks 119
Robots 124 - Carnage 92
Jury 111 - Saints 50
AHoles 92 - Bombs 91
Birdmen 90 - DawgPound 82

Week 5 Complete! - Tuesday, October 9, 2007
It was another relatively low scoring week as only 3 teams scored over 90 points. The A-Holes continued their hot streak as Ronnie Brown becomes our first 2-time week MVP of the season with his 150+ yards, 5 catches, and 1 TD. The Repercussions also continued their fine play in Week 5 by taking down division rival Carnage in a close contest... In a battle royale of the top forum smack-talkers, the Saints beat the Birdmen handily as Birdman is still looking to find his groove (his team name is the "Birdmen", and he is the "Birdman"). Although, Birdman does have 8 more transactions left than the Saints. Roy - stop blowing your wad so early in the season!!! In other news, the battle of the two division leaders was won by the Ballhawks on Monday Night Football as the Bombs had their worst output of the year. And the Robots had yet another close contest as Boogs defeated Well Hung Jury by 5 points... The AFLC is looking to prove the predictions wrong as the Ballhawks have taken over the top spot in the standings, with the Repercussions and A-Holes not too far behind. The NFLC has definitely dropped off a bit since the first few weeks of the season... This week's FITA award goes to Carnage, Inc who had the 3rd high score but lost to the Repercussions.
Below are this week's matchups. Be sure to check the standings page. Good luck next week!
AHoles 108 - DawgPound 58
Repercussions 103 - Carnage 95
Saints 89 - Birdmen 66
Ballhawks 83 - Bombs 68
Robots 80 - Jury 75

Week 4 Complete! - Tuesday, October 2, 2007
The Ballhawks finally plugged in Romo in Week 4 who racked up 37+ fantasy points and helped Ballhawk rack up 125 points and high score. The Repercussions also had a nice week as they were the only other team to score over 100 points as Resto was led by Randy Moss who now has 7 TDs through the first 4 games... Week 4 was a monumental week in the FLFL as we have witnessed the BIGGEST BLOCKBUSTER TRADE in FLFL history. The Birdmen pulled the trigger on another trade as he sent LaDanian Tomlinson (yes, the 1st pick of the draft!) and Delhomme to the Repercussions for McNabb and Grandmama. It's hard to say who benefitted the most from the deal - I guess only time will tell! Either way it's very exciting and it definitely shook things up... In other news, the A-Holes had their 2nd solid game in a row by getting 3rd high score and taking down the Jury. Carnage also had a nice week by defeating the Birdmen, and the Bombs stayed atop the standings by beating division rival Saints... This week's FITA award goes to Birdman whose 4 top scoring WRs and 2 top scoring QBs were all on his bench. Not Birdman's fault, just bad luck, hence the FITA award.
Below are this week's matchups. Be sure to check the standings page. Good luck next week!
Ballhawks 125 - DawgPound 86
Repercussions 112 - Robots 86
AHoles 96 - Jury 73

Week 3 Complete! - Tuesday, September 25, 2007
The A-Holes finally erupted for a big game as they led the Week 3 scoring and defeated 2nd high scorer Ballhawks 141-134. Ronnie Brown led the way for the A-Holes with 44 fantasy points. The Repercussions also had a nice game as they took down division rival Birdman 129-102 led by Randy Moss who is looking like the steal of the draft. The Bombs had their 3rd straight solid game by crushing the Jury 127-77 to extend their NFLC lead. In other news, the Robots played their 2nd tight game in a row but came up just short as the Saints squeeked out a W by 2 pts. Also, The Dawg Pound benefitted from the luck of the schedule by having the 2nd low score but still managing to defeat Carnage 71-50. This week's FITA award goes to Ballhawk again for getting 2nd high score but losing. In all fairness, perhaps Birdman should have gotten the FITA award last week for being the first to get screwed by the decimal scoring (after further investigation, Birdman would have defeated Robot 103-102 last week if there was no decimal scoring).
Below are this week's matchups. Be sure to check the standings page. Good luck next week!
AHoles 141 - Ballhawks 134
Repercussions 129 - Birdmen 102
Bombs 127 - Jury 77
Saints 122 - Robots 120
DawgPound 71 - Carnage 50

Week 2 Complete! - Tuesday, September 18, 2007
It was a high scoring affair in Week 2 as eight of the ten teams scored over 100 points. If it seems like the scoring is up this year, it is! One reason scoring is up this year is because of the 0.5 pts per reception, which is pushing up our team points by around 10 pts each per game. The other reason is the decimal scoring which is adding anywhere from 1 to 5 team points per game. Remember that once the team points are calculated, the decimal is rounded down to a whole number. More on that later... Anyway, back to Week 2's action. It was an inter-divisional matchup week as each of us played an opponent from the other division. Matty O and his Well Hung Jury (led by Steve Smith's 8 catches, 150 yards, and 3 TDs) defeated the Ballhawks and piled up 150 points to surge into a 2-way tie in the NFLC with Bill's Bombs, who beat Carnage Inc. The Dawg Pound also had a nice Week 2 by racking up 133 points, taking down the Repercussions, and taking over the AFLC lead. The Saints continued marching in Week 2 by defeating the A-Holes who are still looking to take out their butt plug and explode for muchos puntos... In other news, the Robots and Birdmen TIED 105 to 105, our first of the season! Now I know some of you might have looked over at the Yahoo page and noticed that Birdman scored 105.65 team points and Robot scored 105.05 team points, and you might argue that Birdman should win the game. Well, unfortunately for Birdman, the program I wrote (and spent numerous hours writing) to calculate Fantasy Power Points and update the webpage does not take decimals into consideration. I did not want to (and didn't have the time to) sort through the thousands of lines of code to try and update the program. I anticipated this situation happening, and that's why I clarified it on the league specs page before the season. Hey, we're all in the same boat and the rules are the rules. Hopefully Birdman doesn't join the crybaby brigade... This week's FITA award goes to Ballhawk who got 3rd high score but lost to high-scorer Well Hung J-J-J-Jury.
Below are this week's matchups. Be sure to check the standings page. Good luck next week!
Jury 150 - Ballhawks 121
DawgPound 133 - Repercussions 101
Saints 120 - AHoles 79
Bombs 108 - Carnage 80
Robots 105 - Birdmen 105 - TIE!

Week 1 Complete! - Tuesday, September 11, 2007
It was a wild and crazy Week 1 as the Bombs got off to their usual hot start by racking up 132 points led by their Colts tandem Reggie Wayne and Joseph Addai. The Birdmen were nipping on the Bombs' fuse with 2nd high score by taking down Well Hung Jury 126 to 116 in a high scoring affair. Speaking of the Bombs and Birdmen, we have our first trade of the year! The Bombs shipped Lynch and Turner to the Birdmen for Portis and Curtis. The Bombs are hoping to get an upgrade at RB with Portis, and the Birdmen were looking for a little LT-insurance in Turner, but also got a good looking young horse in Lynch... In other news, the Saints got enough production out of Leinart and Boldin on Monday Night Football to take down Resto's Repercussions in a close matchup. Also, the Robots gave the A-Holes a colonoscopy and the Ballhawks got just enough production out of Houshmanzadeh and Rackers on Monday to squeek by Carnage... Just as I predicted - the NFLC looks to be the powerhouse division (at least after Week 1) as ALL FIVE TEAMS in the NFLC currently have more fantasy power points than the first place team in the AFLC... The first FITA award of 2007 goes to.....drum roll please....Well Hung Jury for getting 3rd high score but losing to former frat-bro Birdman (or is that brothership never-ending??) whatever - the Jury got screwed. Oh and wait, I wasn't supposed to call it "frat" was I? After all, I don't call my country a.......
Below are this week's matchups. Be sure to check the standings page. Good luck next week!
Bombs 132 - DawgPound 86
Birdmen 126 - Jury 116
Saints 103 - Repercussions 94

2007 FLFL Predictions! - Sunday, August 26, 2007
NFLC
1. Birdmen - Once again the Birdmen look like an offensive juggernaut with Tomlinson, C.Johnson, and Holt leading the way. However, the NFLC looks like a b*tch of a divison as the Saints, Robots, Jury, and Bombs also look like contenders, so Birdman will have his work cut out for him this season. But hey, Birdman has the Fantasy MVP so it'll be his title to lose. Hopefully for the rest of us Birdman has some bad luck this season (injuries, anyone?) otherwise we'll all be playing for 2nd place.
2. New Roundy's Saints - Last year's FLFL Champ Saints was chomping at the bits to get into Birdman's division as Roy swapped draft slots with Resto's Repercussions 10 minutes before draft time to move into the NFLC. I smell a bitter rivalry here as the Saints want to repeat this season and prove to Birdman that the Saints are indeed the perennial FLFL Champs (Birdman won more money last year, Roy won the bragging rights). The Saints look tough with a three-headed monster receiver corps in Harrison, Boldin, and ANDRE....JOHNSON, and a young up-and-coming running back in Maroney.
3. Evil Robots - Again, this NFLC division looks real tough this year. On paper, the 'Bots could be moved up to #1 in the predictions but the Birdmen and the Saints have alot of history and tradition on their side so they hold the top 2 spots. This team is led by two potential top-5 backs in Alexander and Henry which should carry the team to many victories. After bad luck at the QB position last year, Boogs made sure in this draft to secure a stud QB in Brady who has a whole slew of new weapons. And to top it all off, Boogs has three solid #1 receivers in Roy Williams, Darrell Jackson, and Reggie Brown. Look out for the Evil Robots this year!
4. Well Hung Jury - And again, this division is a tough one! Matt clutched up and agreed to rejoin the FLFL 3 days before the draft as a one-headed monster. As I look over the Jury, I don't see any real holes and I'm wondering how I can actually predict this team to be so low. Gore, E.James, S.Smith, Colston, & Gates are 5 solid guys who should help the Jury reap mass benefits. I guess I'm a little biased against Matt's QB Hasselbeck, who was on my crappy squad last year. But he is a solid QB on a healthy team with something to prove, and he complements the rest of the Jury well. The verdict is in: Don't be surprised if the Jury is at the top of this division late in the season!
5. Bill's Bombs - The only reason the Bombs are ranked last is because this squad has 3 starters who are nursing boo-boos. The injury report says that Kitna, T.Jones, and Driver should all be fine, but all it takes is one NFL coach to downplay one of their injuries and the Bombs could be in some serious trouble. However, the Bombs have Addai, Owens, and Wayne to lead the way and if those 3 injured guys are indeed healthy by the start of the season then the Bombs too could contend.
Commish Note: - Man am I glad to be in the AFLC - nothing against my division rivals but the 5 teams in the NFLC just might be the 5 best teams in the entire league!!
AFLC
1. Carnage, Inc. - Carnage put together a nice LONG-DISTANCE draft by starting his team off with Peyton Manning and adding some solid players the rest of the way. Manning completed 23-of-27 passes for 233 yards and three TDs -- all in the first half -- of Saturday's preseason game. If that's a sign of things to come this season, then UH-OH! Jones-Drew is a young up-and-comer and Evans is looking to have a huge year. Benson was a nice value pick in round 4, and Carnage stole Javon Walker right out from under the Saints' nose in round 5. This team looks solid across the board and looks to be the front runner in the AFLC.
2. Resto's Repercussions - Usually I predict new franchises to be near the bottom of the standings, but Resto brought his cartel to the draft this year who used their scare tactics on me to put their Papa high up in the predictions... McNabb was actually the best fantasy QB last season (in a points-per-game basis) and if he can stay healthy this season then the Repercussions will be pretty tough to beat. Grandmama Johnson and McGahee are two workhorses and Fitzgerald, Randy Moss, and Berrian are three solid WRs who should carry this team week in and week out.
3. Dawg Pound - You might think that the Dawg Pound is a new franchise this season, but actually as long as Ben sticks with some kind of canine-related mascot, I'll assume it's the same team. Ben used his trademark 2-QBs-in-the-first-four-rounds strategy to throw us all off our mark and make us bob and weave the rest of the way. Rudi Johnson and Fast Willie Parker - what can you say? That's a great start to a team. Palmer and Bulger are both solid QBs who each have the potential to win a fantasy game all by themself. The question on this team lies at WR - where Ben waited until round 5 to pick his first WR. Ben is counting on Coles, Santana Moss, and Mark Clayton to get the job done, but hey, Ben has a history of picking solid WRs later in the draft so I'm sure Ben will be fine.
4. Adam's A-Holes - "Hey Bill, would you have picked Favre on the way back? ...NO!" Hey, when you like a player, you like a player... Favre and Eli Manning are a nice one-two punch at QB, and Adam has 3 solid RBs in S.Jackson, R.Brown, and B.Jacobs. Adam also has some solid WRs in Burress, Chambers, and Stallworth who all have world-class talent. However, new franchises rarely do well their first season in the FLFL, and even though Adam co-managed the Jury last year, the A-Holes are indeed a new franchise. Perhaps if Adam brought a cartel to the draft I may have been more inclined to rank them a few spots higher!
5. Ballhawks - Man my team didn't come out anything like I planned. Other owners kept taking the guys I liked and I tried to go with the flow but didn't do a very good job. I do like my QB Brees and my RBs Westbrook and Bush, but my WRs STINK! Houshmanzadeh, Branch, and SANTONIO HOLMES?!? Boy am I in trouble. I do have some solid backups in Romo, J.Lewis, Betts, Br.Jackson, and C.Taylor - anyone wanna trade?

FLFL 2007 is here! - Tuesday, July 17, 2007
Welcome to the "New Era" of the FLFL! Lottery and Draft dates will be announced soon... Below are the exciting changes for FLFL 2007:
1) 0.5 for receptions - makes possession receivers and 3rd down backs more valuable!
2) Decimal Scoring - now you won't get screwed with your yardage!
3) 13 transactions (no change) - trades still do not count as a transaction. However, there now is no add/drop deadline (still no TRADES after week 10).
4) Week 14 Schedule: 1 vs 2 in each division, 3 vs 3, 4 vs 5 in each division.
5) More flexible roster: still 18-man, but all that is required for position players is 2 QB, 3 RB, and 5 WR. 4 flex spots (QB/RB/WR). Still need 2 Ks and 2 DEFs.
6) Run and Shoot option! You may start 2 RB/3 WR, or 1 RB/4 WR.
7) No transactions allowed on Sunday or Monday - you may only do an add/drop on Sunday/Monday if it's known that your guy got hurt in that weekend's games (and did not return) in which case you can pick up a player of the same position.
All of the other rules are still the same. The league is still $40 with free transactions. Below is the current $ status from last season. If you have +40 or more next to your name, you don't have to bring any cash to this year's draft!
David +130
Rick +60
Roy +40
Ben +40
Dustin +20
Bill 0
Matt/Adam 0
Boogs -28
